Relyon were the very FIRST bed company to be AWARDED the PRESTIGIOUS Guild Mark of the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers. The Guild Mark is awarded under the strictest conditions to furniture that meets the highest standards of design, workmanship, materials and function. This accolade is granted to individual designs or whole ranges of furniture that live up to the Worshipful Company's motto - Straight and Strong - and represent the finest British craftsmanship of the age.
The Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers was founded in 1952 becoming the 83rd Livery Company of the City of London. The coveted Guild Mark was awarded only to individual designs until 1993, when the Company launched the Production Guild Mark acknowledging the levels of design and technical know-how required to produce consistently high standards within a range of furniture.
There is no compromise on the vigorous scrutiny imposed by the Worshipful Company's experts before a Production Guild Mark is awarded. Relyon, which remains one of only five bed companies to achieve Guild Mark status, are proud that their designs carry this guarantee of the very best quality.
